Moving the License
You may find that you need to move the install and license key to a new machine. For example if the server it is currently installed on is decommissioned and Data Sync and Ouvvi need activating on the new server.
To allow you to activate on the new machine/server you will need to free-up an activation spot for each application by removing the old activation from the license.
If you had an offline license file, this is a permanent activation and cannot be removed from the license.
There are two ways to manage the activations on the license, either logging into the registered users account, or using the manage license key link for any users that are not the registered user.
License Registered to your Account
If the license is registered to your simego account then you can log into your account here at simego.com.
If you do not know the password for the account you will need to reset it here.
Once you are logged into your account go to License Keys and click onto the license key you need to manage.
Now find the Client ID for the activation of Data Sync and/or Ouvvi you need to remove, and click Delete to delete the activation. You can now use your license key on the new installation.
Remember to uninstall Data Sync from your old machine so then it does not attempt to re-activate.
License Not Registered to your Account
If the license isn't registered to your account you can log in to manage the license here, you will need the license key and order reference number to enable you to log in.
This will open the license management page. Find the Client ID for the activation of Data Sync and/or Ouvvi you need to remove, and click Delete to delete the activation.
Your license will now have a clear space to activate on the new machine.
