Getting Started with Ouvvi Automation Server

Ouvvi is our Scheduling and Management platform for Data Sync projects and other tasks. Ouvvi comprises of a Web Application, SQL Database and Windows Service.

Ouvvi Overview

At a high level Ouvvi contains of Projects, Steps and Triggers these come together to create a powerful operational management platform for your Data Integration Tasks. Every run within Ouvvi is tied to an instance of the log so that you can trace back all the events to a specific execution.

Projects represent a Thread of execution and run in parallel, Steps within a project run in a sequence one after the other within the project thread.

Triggers represent external events such as time interval schedule and data change events. These triggers are attached to projects to invoke the projects to run automatically.

Projects, Steps and Triggers run within the Ouvvi Service Agent. The Ouvvi Web is the management interface and controller scheduling work to be executed by the Agent.

Installation

Installation is manual since there are many different ways it can be installed and different companies will have different security requirements. A typical installation can be completed within 5 minutes if the pre-requisite components are installed. You can read the installation guide here

Ouvvi supports the installation of multiple instances per server.

Each Data Sync Server License Key allows for a maximum of 3 instances on a single server.

Evaluation

To try Ouvvi on your machine please contact us to get an evaluation license. Alternatively if you already have an annual license it is likely you can try Ouvvi with your current license key.
