Troubleshooting 32-Bit (x86) Drivers

If you receive an connection error when using Data Sync and trying to connect to a data source, for example Excel or the ODBC driver, it might be that you have a 32-bit (x86) driver with 64-bit Data Sync.

If you must use a 32-Bit (x86) driver then you will need to run the 32 bit (x86) versions of Data Sync and the Run Tool to resolve this issue.

note

If this error is because your trying to use Office Excel drivers you can uninstall 32-bit Office and install the 64-bit office instead to resolve the issue.

There is a 32-Bit (x86) version of each in the install directory C:\Program Files\Simego\Data Synchronisation Studio 6.0

For Data Sync this is the Simego.DataSync.Studio32.exe and for the Run Tool this is the Simego.DataSync.Run32.exe.

info

You can also target the 32 bit version of the Run Tool from Ouvvi by setting the runtime property to 32-bit in the Ouvvi Runtool Project step.
