Troubleshooting 32 Bit Drivers
If you receive an connection error when using Data Sync and trying to connect to a data source, for example Excel or the ODBC driver, it might be that you are using 32 bit windows and trying to run 64-bit Data Sync.
If you are running a 32-bit OS then you will need to run the 32 bit versions of Data Sync and the Run Tool to resolve this issue.
There is a 32-Bit version of each in the install directory C:\Program Files\Simego\Data Synchronisation Studio 6.0
For Data Sync this is the Simego.DataSync.Studio32.exe
and for the Run Tool this is the Simego.DataSync.Run32.exe
.
You can also target the 32 bit version of the Run Tool and Data Sync from Ouvvi by setting the property to 32 bit in the Ouvvi step.
Alternatively you can uninstall 32 bit Office and install the 64 bit office instead to keep all components the same.
