Ouvvi Apps

Ouvvi Apps introduces a modern, RESTful API-driven table storage solution designed to simplify data integration and reporting. With Ouvvi Apps, you can utilize them as data stores or backups, offering a streamlined approach to data management and analysis.

RESTful API and Export Functionality​

Each Ouvvi App comes with a simple REST-based API that allows you to connect to it seamlessly. Additionally, Ouvvi Apps provide Export options, enabling you to retrieve data in various standard data formats such as XML, HTML, CSV, Excel, and JSON. These exports can be easily consumed through a URL from the Ouvvi server, enabling easy data sharing and integration with other applications.

Data Integration with Data Sync​

Data Sync comes with an Ouvvi Apps connector out of the box, enabling you to integrate them effortlessly into your existing data workflows. This seamless integration empowers you to quickly implement Ouvvi Apps within your data integration projects, eliminating any unnecessary hassle.

Data Sync offers a quick-start function that allows you to create new apps directly within your Ouvvi environment based off the source schema mapping. This streamlined process ensures that you can set up and start leveraging Ouvvi Apps straight away.

This feature does require you to have created at least one Ouvvi App, but after that it can be used as many times as needed. You can read more on using this on the create an App page.

Data Consumption in Power BI​

You can use Ouvvi Apps to integrate with with Power BI, enabling you to consume the data stored in Ouvvi Apps directly into your Power BI reports. Use Data Sync to update the data in your Ouvvi Apps, and connect Power BI to the Ouvvi App endpoint to ensure that your reports are always up to date. This integration streamlines the process of accessing and visualising your data in Power BI. You can read about how you can do this here.

Data Transformation and Staging​

Ouvvi Apps eliminate the need to create SQL tables on database servers when it comes to data transformation and staging. These Apps can serve as a temporary staging store, simplifying the process of data integration and manipulation. By leveraging Ouvvi Apps, you can streamline your data transformation workflows and optimise your data processing pipelines.

Email Reporting​

You can take Ouvvi Apps from a data store into a powerful tool for receiving data-driven emails. Ouvvi Apps provide two HTML report views: TABLE and LIST. Combined with the Ouvvi Email handler, which can consume a web page as the body of an email, you can effortlessly import data into an Ouvvi App and generate reports sent directly to your inbox.

For example, instead of repeatedly logging into a providers system to gather necessary details about an order, you can leverage Data Sync, Ouvvi and Ouvvi Apps so that for each new order you'll receive an email containing all the information you need.
